Tuesday November 13, 2 p.m. Is this the Winter Blues?

As the days get shorter and winter closes in, many people feel like hibernating. We start sleeping more, eating more and avoid social contact. The shorter days of winter, coupled with holiday stress, can make people more vulnerable to a range of depression from mild to severe. Join us to learn how to cope with the winter blues and the difference between grief and clinical depression. Presented by Gloria Sabin, MSW, LICSW, Clinical Director, Western Mental Health – Marshall & Redwood Falls.

Childbirth Preparation – Registration Required

Childbirth preparation class allows you and your birthing partner to meet in a small group setting with Redwood Area Hospital OB staff. This one-hour course is designed to help you prepare for the delivery of your baby and become familiar with the Birthing Center. We strongly encourage that you attend childbirth class during your second trimester.

During the course, you will meet with OB staff to discuss labor and delivery routines, newborn and post-partum care, and tour the OB suites.

Classes are held the 2nd or 4th Tuesday of each month from 7:00 – 8:00 p.m. If you have a time conflict, OB staff can work with you to schedule another time.

The cost for the childbirth preparation class is $15.00. Registration required.
