A cancer diagnosis is life-altering but not always life-ending. Thanks to advances in prevention, early detection, treatment and follow-up care, more people than ever are surviving cancer. In America alone, there are nearly 14 million survivors – now that is something to celebrate!
Redwood Area Hospital invites all community cancer survivors to join in celebrating life at the 23rd annual Cancer Survivors picnic. The event will be held on Tuesday, June 21, 2016 from 5:30-7:30 p.m. in the Redwood Area Hospital Education Room.
The picnic will include Subway sandwiches, beverage, and utensils furnished by the hospital. Guests are invited to bring a dish to share.
The picnic is a chance for cancer survivors, caregivers, family members, friends and healthcare professionals to join together and show that life after a cancer diagnosis can be meaningful and productive.
